Akway is a workshop, not a warehouse. We handweave rattan, bamboo and cane in Northeast India and Noida with more than 50 artisan families — and we like working with people who care how a thing is made.
There is no formal programme with tiers and rate cards here. There is a small team that reads every email and replies to the ones that fit. If you have an idea, send it.
Who we usually work with
Project and trade work
Specifying rattan and bamboo for a home, cafe, hotel or studio. We manufacture, so pieces can be sized and finished to your drawing rather than your having to design around a catalogue.
Content and shoots
If your work is about interiors, slow living or Indian craft, and your audience is genuinely engaged, tell us what you want to make and what you need from us.
Wholesale and private label
Stores, studios and brands who want handwoven pieces made to their own spec. We already supply Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and Pepperfry alongside our own store.
Props and locations
Our workshops and our catalogue are both open to the right project. Natural texture is hard to fake, and we have a lot of it.
What to put in your email
We would rather read one specific message than ten generic ones. The more of this you include, the faster we can give you a real answer instead of a holding reply.
- Who you are — a link to your work, your studio, or your profile.
- What you have in mind — the actual idea, not just "collaboration opportunity".
- What you need from us — product, access to the workshop, custom manufacturing, pricing, or something else.
- What happens on your side — the shoot, the project, the order, the placement.
- Your timeline — everything we make is handwoven, so dates matter.
An honest note. We are a manufacturer with a small team, and we say no to most requests — usually because the fit is not there, not because the idea was bad. If we do not reply within a week, take it as a no and please do not take it personally.
