New Arrivals — Rattan & Bamboo Lighting Collection

What Is New at Akway?

This is the most recent run off the looms — the handwoven lights added to the catalogue most lately, across pendants, wall lamps, table lamps and chandeliers. Because every piece is woven by hand in small batches rather than moulded in a factory, new designs arrive as a steady trickle rather than in seasonal drops, and a new weave or silhouette usually appears in one or two sizes before it is extended. It is worth checking here first if you have browsed the main collections before, since the newest designs are the ones least likely to be in a room you have already seen. Each takes a standard E27 bulb; a warm white LED at 2700K to 3000K suits natural fibre. Akway's 49 newest designs run ₹1,299 to ₹18,999, made in India with free delivery pan-India.

What's New in This Collection

• New Floor Lamps: Tripod floor lamps, arc floor lamps, and column-style standing lamps in natural bamboo and rattan. Perfect for living room corners, reading nooks, and beside-the-sofa placement.
• New Wall Lights: Sconces and wall-mounted rattan fixtures that add ambient warmth to hallways, bedrooms, and bathroom vanities without taking up floor or table space.

• New Ceiling Lamps: Flush mount and semi-flush bamboo ceiling lights designed for rooms with low ceilings — hallways, kitchens, and compact bedrooms.

Room-by-Room Styling with New Arrivals

Our newest bamboo lighting designs work beautifully across every room in your home:

• Living Room: A new statement pendant lamp above the coffee table or a rattan arc floor lamp beside the sofa instantly elevates the living room. Choose warm-toned bamboo for a cosy feel or bleached rattan for a lighter, airier look.
• Dining Room: Cluster two or three new pendant designs at varying heights above your dining table for a modern, curated look. Our latest chandelier-style pendants create a dramatic focal point during evening meals.
• Bedroom: Pair a new bamboo table lamp on each nightstand for symmetry, or hang a single rattan pendant above the bed as a sculptural centrepiece. Wall sconces are a space-saving alternative for smaller bedrooms.
• Kitchen: A row of compact rattan pendant lamps above the kitchen island combines task lighting with natural style. Choose geometric shapes for a modern kitchen or rounded designs for a more organic, rustic feel.
• Bathroom: A woven wall sconce beside the mirror adds soft, flattering light and a spa-like atmosphere. Our water-resistant finishes ensure durability in humid environments.
• Balcony & Outdoor: Bring the resort vibe home with a hanging bamboo lantern or a rattan floor lamp on your covered balcony. Natural materials look spectacular in outdoor settings, especially at dusk.

Design Trends We're Exploring

Akway's design team draws inspiration from global trends and adapts them for Indian homes:

• Japandi: The fusion of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian functionality. Clean lines, muted tones, and natural materials — our japandi-inspired lamps are among our most popular new arrivals.
• Boho-Chic: Layered textures, organic shapes, and an eclectic mix of patterns. Boho rattan lamps with fringed edges and loose-weave designs add personality and warmth to any space.
• Coastal: Light, airy, and beach-inspired. Whitewashed rattan lamps and bleached bamboo fixtures evoke a seaside calm that transforms any room into a retreat.
• Minimalist: Simple silhouettes, clean geometry, and restrained materials. Our minimalist bamboo lamps let the beauty of the natural material speak for itself.
• Rustic Farmhouse: Raw, unfinished bamboo and thick rattan weaves that bring countryside charm to modern urban homes.

Materials & Quality

Every new arrival is crafted from the same premium materials that define all Akway products:

• Rattan: Sustainably harvested climbing palm — strong, flexible, and biodegradable. Harvesting doesn't kill the plant, making it one of the most eco-friendly materials available.
• Bamboo: Grows 30x faster than hardwood trees. Our bamboo is heat-treated and seasoned for durability, insect resistance, and a beautiful natural finish.
• Cane: The smooth outer skin of rattan, used for detailed weaving and polished finishes.
• Wicker Weave: A traditional handweaving technique applied to rattan and bamboo strips, creating the signature textured surfaces of our lamps.
• Metal Fittings: Anti-rust coated metal hardware with standard E26/E27 bulb holders. Compatible with LED, CFL, and filament bulbs.

How to Care for Your New Lamp

• Dust regularly with a soft dry cloth or feather duster to maintain the natural finish.
• Use LED bulbs (warm white, 2700K-3000K) for the best ambience and minimal heat output near natural fibres.
• Avoid prolonged moisture exposure — bamboo and rattan are naturally resilient but perform best in dry, well-ventilated environments.
• Apply linseed oil once a year to maintain the sheen and prevent the fibres from drying out.
• Handle with care during installation — natural materials are strong but can crack if forced into position.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often do you add new products?
We add new designs every 2-4 weeks. Our artisans are constantly experimenting with shapes, weave patterns, and sizes. Bookmark this page and check back regularly for fresh drops.

Are new arrivals more expensive?
No. Pricing is based on size, complexity, and materials — not newness. Many of our new arrivals are competitively priced and offer excellent value for handcrafted, eco-friendly lighting.

Can I request a custom design?
Yes — Akway offers custom lighting for interior designers and bulk buyers. Contact us at hello@akway.in with your requirements and we'll work with our artisans to create your vision.

Do new arrivals come with a warranty?
Every Akway lamp is checked before it ships. If yours arrives damaged or defective, email care@akway.in within 24 hours with photos and we will put it right.

What bulb type should I use?
We recommend warm white LED bulbs (2700K-3000K) with an E26/E27 base. Bulb is not included with the lamp. LED bulbs produce minimal heat, which is ideal for natural fibre lamp shades.

Do you ship across India?
Yes — free shipping across India on all orders. We also ship internationally on request. Contact us for international shipping rates.
